Corporate Team Building & Conflict Management
Consider these startling facts:
- Chronic unresolved conflict acts as a decisive factor in at least 50% of departures. Conflict accounts for up to 90% of involuntary departures, with the possible exception of staff reductions due to downsizing and restructuring.
- Unresolved conflict represents the largest reducible cost in many businesses, yet it remains largely unrecognized.
- A complaint that escalates to a lawsuit can easily cost $50,000 to $100,000 and take three to five years to settle.
- According to a nationwide study, the average jury verdict in wrongful termination cases is over $60,000 and companies lose 64% of the cases. (Bureau of National Affairs)
- Corporations that have developed collaborative conflict management systems report significant litigation cost savings: Brown and Root reported an 80% reduction in outside litigation costs; Motorola reported a 75% reduction over a period of six years; NCR reported a 50% reduction and a drop of pending lawsuits from 263 in 1984 to 28 in 1993.
- Tension and stress reduce motivation and disturb concentration. A loss of simple productivity of 25% (doing things other than work related activities, such as discussing the dispute, playing computer games, finding reasons to get out of the area) reduces an average work week to fewer than 20 hours. (The Cost of Conflict in the Workplace)
Unresolved conflict in the workplace is costly. In 2002, the National Center for Health Statistics estimated the annual cost of violence and stress-induced hostility in the workplace was over $13.5 billion in medical costs, and caused 1.75 million days of lost work. Every day, at every level of the organization, unresolved conflict increases the cost of doing business, reduces productivity, and places enormous stress on important business relationships. In fact, experts estimate that at least 33% of a typical manager's time is spent coping with conflict situations. In a recent poll, 87.6% of managers claimed they spent too much time resolving disputes between employees. Addressing conflict should be viewed as an important element in achieving organizational effectiveness and enhancing productivity. Many organizations, however, suffer chronic patterns of unresolved conflict that are costly and often symptomatic of serious organizational dysfunction.
One thing a company can do to avoid these types of problems is to train employees of all levels to successfully manage workplace conflict, and to actively pursue teambuilding opportunities. INSPiRE Coaching offers these services to businesses that are serious about protecting themselves and their employees. We offer the following corporate programs:
Dynamic Teambuilding & Conflict Resolution
It’s a fact that leaders who can effectively establish a “team” mindset, an “all for one and one for all” mentality, not only experience much greater success in business, but they also find within themselves and those around them a much greater level of satisfaction. Mother Theresa said, “You can do what I cannot do. I can do what you cannot do. Together, we can do great things.” At INSPiRE, we work with you and your employees to build this mindset. We do this by:
- Meeting with individuals and small groups to establish needs and help managers and leaders hear from their employees.
- Addressing the company as a whole in order to equip and inspire employers and employees to work together.
- Using group building activities and exercises that illustrate our need for teamwork.

Exceptional Presentation Skills
The key to success in the workplace (and in our other relationships) is effective communication. We need not only understand how to communicate in our relationships, but many of us have to communicate in front of crowds. Corporate leaders, professional speakers, preachers and salespeople everywhere are dealing with the same problem: How do I make my point to my audience without putting them to sleep? And more importantly, how do I get them to act on what they’ve just heard?
At INSPiRE, we not only train professional speakers and preachers how to be better communicators, we also train corporate leaders, salespeople and representatives to more effectively captivate their audience. Simply put, if you can get them to listen, you can get them to act. And if you can get them to act, you can impact their business and change your own.
Here’s what we will teach you:
- The key to captivating ANY crowd
- How to focus your thoughts and organize your speech
- Making your presentation entertaining and life changing
- How to ignite and move your audience to action
- Writing and presentation tips that set you apart from the rest
- And much, much more!
